BioTabs: a complete organic programme compared

Where brands like BioCanna or Plagron offer liquid organic feeds that still require regular dosing and pH monitoring, BioTabs front-loads the nutrition into the substrate. The core products — tablets, soil conditioner, mycorrhizae and bacteria — are all applied at potting time. Only the bloom booster is added later via the watering can. Foundation: Startrex soil conditioner

Startrex is the starting point. This humic and fulvic acid blend kickstarts microbial activity in your growing medium and helps convert organic matter into plant-available nutrients. Mix it through the substrate when filling your pots. Available in 1.5 kg and 5 kg bags.

Root colonisers: Mycotrex and Bactrex

Mycotrex delivers mycorrhizal fungi that physically bond with root cells and extend their absorption reach by up to forty times. Dust it directly onto the roots when transplanting. The BioTabs fertiliser tablets contain bat guano, bone meal and blood meal compressed into a slow-dissolving pellet. Push them halfway into the substrate at potting time. Bloom phase: Bio PK 5-8

Once flowers begin forming, phosphorus and potassium demand spikes. Bio PK 5-8 is a liquid organic booster dosed at 1 to 3 ml per litre of water during peak flowering weeks. Also available in a 1 litre bottle for regular growers.
