Nutriculture Wilma XL 4
The Nutriculture Wilma XL 4 delivers the proven Wilma recirculating drip-feed technology in a compact 75 x 75cm footprint for 4 plants. Timer-controlled pump cycles deliver nutrient solution to each pot multiple times per day, with full run-off recirculation back to the reservoir. Flood and arrow drippers cover all growing media — clay pebbles, coco, rockwool and soil. Complete kit includes pump, tray, pots and full irrigation hardware. Timer sold separately. The ideal entry point into active hydroponics for growers moving beyond hand-watering. Order the Wilma XL 4 and set up your first automated grow system.
Nutriculture Wilma XL 4 — compact active drip irrigation for 4 plants
The transition from hand-watered pots to active hydroponics is one of the highest-impact decisions a grower can make. The Nutriculture Wilma XL 4 makes that transition straightforward: same automated drip-feed logic as larger Wilma systems, scaled to a 4-pot configuration that fits any grow tent from 75 x 75cm upwards. No complex plumbing, no specialist knowledge required — just consistent, automated nutrition delivery every time. See our complete automatic irrigation range for all available options.
From pot to hydroponics: what changes and what doesn't
The Wilma XL 4 is explicitly designed for growers who already understand pot-based growing. The pots look familiar; the growing media can be the same. What changes is the feeding mechanism: instead of manual watering once a day, a pump delivers small doses of nutrient solution several times daily. This shift in feeding pattern is responsible for the yield differential growers report when switching to Wilma systems. Roots stay in their optimal moisture window — never oversaturated, never drought-stressed.
Technical specifications and included components
Everything needed to start growing is included in the kit, with the exception of a timer and growing medium:
- 4 x 11L pots in a leak-proof low-profile tray (75 x 75cm footprint)
- Recirculating pump with nutrient mixing tap and full distribution hose
- Flood drippers for clay pebbles and arrow drippers for coco, soil and rockwool
- Integrated reservoir with capacity for several days of autonomy between top-ups
For scaling up to 8 plants, the Nutriculture Wilma XL 8 uses identical components in a larger tray configuration. Both systems share the same operational logic, making the upgrade seamless.
Media selection and feed scheduling
Clay pebbles are the recommended starting medium for maximum root oxygenation and simplified EC management. Fill the 4 pots with approximately 44 litres of clay pebbles and use flood drippers set to 2–3 cycles of 15 minutes per day for young plants, increasing to up to 6 cycles at peak flowering. For coco or soil, switch to arrow drippers and start at 1–2 cycles per day, increasing as root volume grows. Always monitor EC and pH in the reservoir, as plants tend to absorb water faster than nutrients — residual EC can climb between top-ups.
The Wilma XL 4 is available for in-store collection at our Belgian growshop. Fast order processing for growers across Belgium. Note: postal shipping is not available for this product due to its dimensions.
What is the reservoir capacity of the Nutriculture Wilma XL 4?
The Wilma XL 4 reservoir holds approximately 50–70 litres depending on configuration. This provides several days of nutrient solution autonomy between manual top-ups, depending on plant size, stage and ambient temperature. Always maintain the solution level above the pump intake to prevent pump damage from running dry.
Can I grow different plant varieties with different water requirements in the Wilma XL 4?
All 4 pots in the Wilma system receive the same feed schedule from a shared reservoir. This means plants with significantly different water requirements are best kept in separate systems. For uniform varieties at the same growth stage, the Wilma XL 4 delivers consistent nutrition across all pots simultaneously.
How does the Nutriculture Wilma XL 4 compare to the Blumat passive irrigation system?
The Wilma XL 4 is an active system requiring a pump, timer and electricity. It delivers controlled, scheduled feeding with predictable EC management and higher yield potential in optimised conditions. The Blumat system is passive — no electricity, no timer — and responds reactively to substrate moisture. The Wilma is the better choice for precision growing; Blumat excels for low-maintenance, set-and-forget irrigation.
