Terra Aquatica Calcium Magnesium 0,5l

Terra Aquatica Calcium Magnesium Supplement 500 ml is a liquid nutritional supplement with NPK 2-0-0 that targets calcium deficiencies in fast-growing plants. The formula contains 4% CaO and 1% MgO and works rapidly when pH exceeds 5.8. Calcium strengthens cell walls and improves fruit texture, magnesium is essential for chlorophyll production and phosphorus transport. Dosage 1.5 ml per litre of water, 2 ml per litre for RO water, 1-1.5 ml per litre for coco. Use only when deficiency is confirmed — do not combine with TriPart, DualPart Coco or NovaMax as these already contain sufficient calcium. The 500 ml bottle is the standard entry format.

Terra Aquatica Calcium Magnesium 0.5L – Targeted correction of calcium deficiencies

Calcium deficiency is one of the most common issues in intensive cultivation, particularly under strong lighting and low humidity conditions. Terra Aquatica Calcium Magnesium Supplement delivers a fast-acting combination of calcium and magnesium that strengthens cell walls, improves fruit quality and supports chlorophyll production. The 500 ml bottle is the entry-level format in the Terra Aquatica range.

Why calcium and magnesium are critical

This liquid supplement with NPK 2-0-0 contains 4% calcium oxide (CaO) and 1% magnesium oxide (MgO). Both elements perform essential functions:

  • Calcium (CaO 4%): strengthens cell walls, increases tissue robustness, slows ageing, improves fruit texture and boosts disease resistance. Calcium also acts as an enzymatic cofactor activating vital enzymes.
  • Magnesium (MgO 1%): essential for chlorophyll production, promotes phosphorus transport to growing tips and seeds, and is involved in carotenoid and xanthophyll formation.

Dosage and application

Use this product only when deficiency is confirmed — excess calcium can lock out potassium and iron uptake:

  • General application: 1.5 ml per litre of water.
  • RO water: 2 ml per litre of water.
  • Coco: 1-1.5 ml per litre to moisten the substrate, then add to nutrient solution for the first two weeks. Continuous use is possible for fast-growing plants.

Critical: calcium is only absorbed when pH exceeds 5.8. Always check your pH before adding CalMag. Maintain pH between 5.5 and 6.5, allowing it to fluctuate slightly for optimal uptake of all elements.

When to use and when to avoid

Do not combine this supplement with TriPart, DualPart Coco or NovaMax — these products already contain sufficient calcium. CalMag is designed as a corrective measure for confirmed deficiencies, not as a standard additive. Check your pH, humidity and root health first.

With 500 ml you can treat over 330 litres of nutrient solution at 1.5 ml/L dosage. Order from plantandflower.be with fast shipping across Belgium.

Can I combine CalMag with TriPart?

No, TriPart, DualPart Coco and NovaMax already contain sufficient calcium. Adding extra calcium can create excess and lock out other nutrients such as potassium and iron. CalMag is exclusively intended to correct confirmed deficiencies, particularly when using HardWater formulas or RO water.

I added CalMag but my plants still show calcium deficiency. What should I do?

Check root health first — damaged roots cannot absorb calcium regardless of concentration. Then: raise pH to 6.5 if below, verify humidity is not too high (50-70% during vegetative growth), and check temperature. Excessive heat or high humidity limits evapotranspiration and therefore calcium uptake.

Why is pH above 5.8 so critical for calcium absorption?

Calcium only dissolves in a plant-available form when pH exceeds 5.8. Many growers hold their pH constant at 5.8, which can already cause borderline uptake. It is better to allow pH to fluctuate slightly between 5.5 and 6.5 so all elements can be absorbed at their optimal pH point.

Is CalMag necessary for coco substrate?

Coco substrate can bind calcium, potentially causing deficiencies. Use 1-1.5 ml/L to moisten the substrate and add to your nutrient solution for the first two weeks. For fast-growing plants under intensive lighting, continuous use may be necessary. All Terra Aquatica coco substrates are pre-treated and normally do not require additional CalMag.
