Conductivity Standard 1.413 is a solution of a known electrical conductivity (EC) used to check and calibrate EC meters.
All meters require regular calibration to maintain reading accuracy.
Conductivity Standard can also be used to test the accuracy of EC meters: simply take a reading of the solution with your EC meter and if the reading is 1.413, your meter is taking accurate readings and no action needs taking. If the reading is incorrect, then it is necessary to use the solution to re-calibrate the meter.
This should be a regular procedure to ensure best results from the meter.
