Pipe for Ona Block 160 mm

ONA diffusion pipe Ø 160 mm for integrating an ONA Block into larger ventilation systems used in indoor cultivation. Designed for grow rooms and indoor gardens running Ø 150–160 mm ducting — the standard diameter for grow tents from 120×120 cm and larger, including multi-chamber setups. The increased pipe diameter delivers lower air resistance than the 125 mm version, allowing your extractor to operate more efficiently at higher air volumes. Positions the ONA Block directly in the exhaust airstream for active treatment of every cubic meter leaving your grow space. Simple tool-free installation into your existing duct run.

ONA diffusion pipe 160 mm — professional inline odor treatment for larger grow operations

The ONA diffusion pipe Ø 160 mm is engineered for growers operating at scale with high-capacity extraction systems. At 160 mm diameter, this pipe serves grow rooms and tents from 120×120 cm upward — setups where the standard 125 mm pipe would create a bottleneck in airflow. The larger bore means lower static pressure drop and more efficient operation across your entire ventilation circuit.

ONA science deployed inside your ductwork

ONA technology was initiated over 29 years ago when researchers discovered that terpenes — the aromatic compounds in essential oils — don't merely mask odors but eliminate them permanently. The 32 essential oils in every ONA Block deploy three complementary mechanisms when air passes through the pipe:

  • Adsorption: volatile organic compounds (VOCs) dissolve into ONA's active ingredients at the wax block surface. Effectiveness varies with temperature, pressure and the chemical profile of the odor emission.
  • Absorption: ONA molecules actively attract lightweight volatile compounds that penetrate the wax block and form permanent bonds with the essential oils.
  • Zwaardemaker Pairs Theory: two or more odors can neutralize each other through natural chemical bonding. ONA leverages this principle to permanently convert malodorous molecules into odorless compounds.

Installation in your extraction system

The Ø 160 mm pipe connects to all standard ducting, inline fans and carbon filters with 150–160 mm fittings. Recommended placement configurations for maximum performance:

  • Downstream of the carbon filter: catches breakthrough odors, particularly effective as your filter ages and loses absorption capacity. The ONA Block serves as a second line of defense.
  • Final stage before exhaust: treats the complete airstream as the last step before air exits the building. Zero odor impact guaranteed at the exhaust point.

Why 160 mm for serious grow setups?

The difference between the 125 mm and 160 mm pipe extends beyond diameter. In larger grow rooms running powerful extractors (300+ m³/h), a 125 mm duct creates significant static pressure that reduces fan performance and increases energy consumption. The 160 mm pipe keeps pressure drop minimal and ensures optimal airflow across the ONA Block surface — more air contact with the wax block means more effective neutralization per pass.

Use an ONA Block Pro in the pipe for cultivation applications. The Pro variant is near-odorless and prevents essential oil transfer to your crop's terpene profile through potential air backflow.

What is the difference between the ONA pipe 125 mm and 160 mm?

The difference lies in the bore diameter and consequently the air resistance. The 125 mm pipe suits compact grow tents up to 120×120 cm with extractors up to approximately 300 m³/h. The 160 mm pipe targets larger setups with more powerful extraction. The wider bore reduces static pressure drop, allowing the extractor to operate more efficiently and ensuring better airflow across the ONA Block. Both pipes accept the same standard 170-gram ONA Block.

How often should the ONA Block be replaced in the 160 mm diffusion pipe?

A standard 170-gram ONA Block lasts approximately four weeks in the diffusion pipe under normal conditions. High-volume extraction and elevated temperatures accelerate evaporation. Check the block weekly — when it has visibly shrunk and neutralization performance drops, replacement is needed. During flowering when odor production peaks, expect a shorter effective lifespan.

Will the ONA pipe in my ventilation duct affect my plant terpene profiles?

Not with correct placement. Always install the pipe in the exhaust duct downstream of the grow tent so that ONA molecules only act on air that has already left the cultivation space. Use the ONA Block Pro variant for the lowest scent signature. Aromatic transfer only occurs when ONA products are placed directly inside the grow environment, which is not recommended.
