Black/White Foil 120mu 10 meter
Black/White Foil Easygrow 120mu — 10 Metre Roll, 2 Metres Wide
Not all grow rooms are used the same way. In spaces where growers move along walls daily, where irrigation systems regularly splash water onto the lining, or where the film needs to be removed and repositioned periodically, film thickness matters. The Black/White Foil Easygrow 120mu at 120 microns is the most robust option in the EasyGrow range — almost 70% thicker than the 70mu version and considerably stronger than the standard 85mu film. When to choose 120mu over thinner options
The 120mu film is the right choice when one or more of the following apply: the film is regularly touched during inspections, training or harvest; the grow room has high humidity with water droplets on the walls; the film is periodically removed and refixed; or the installation needs to last multiple seasons without replacement. The thinner alternatives — 85mu per metre and 70mu on a 25-metre roll — are well suited to lower-demand environments.
Double layer, full blackout
Like other EasyGrow films, the 120mu is supplied folded to 1 metre wide with the black side outward. The double-layer folding provides complete light-tightness without any additional backing. The greater thickness also makes the film more durable at fixing points — tape and staples hold better and the risk of tearing at perforations is significantly reduced. For maximum reflectivity, the Mylar Superplant Diamond Black at 94% remains the premium reflective option. Pair the 120mu film with a Secret Jardin Dark Room tent for a fully equipped professional grow setup.
When is 120µm film a better choice than 70µm or 85µm?
Choose 120µm when the film will be regularly touched, when the grow room is humid, or when you need an installation that lasts multiple years without replacement. The greater thickness significantly extends service life under demanding conditions. For dry spaces with minimal physical contact, the thinner 85µm or 70µm variants are adequate.
How much area does a 120µm 10-metre roll cover?
A 10-metre roll at 2 metres wide covers 20m² of surface. This is sufficient for the walls of a small 2 x 2 metre grow room (walls: 16m²), or for lining specific walls in a larger space. For larger projects, multiple rolls are required.
Is the 120µm film suitable as floor lining?
Yes, the 120µm thickness is particularly well-suited as floor lining in grow rooms. The higher mechanical strength resists tearing when pots and trays are moved regularly, and the light-tight construction fully protects the floor beneath. As floor lining, the black side facing up is ideal for absorbing irrigation water splashes without reflecting light back downward.
