Coupling 160 mm – connector for higher-capacity systems
The 160 mm coupling joins two Alu-Dec 163 mm ducts for a longer ventilation run. This size is used in more powerful extraction systems that move more air than a 125 mm setup.
Two ducts, one system
Larger grow spaces or long runs through walls and ceilings sometimes need more ducting than a single roll provides. The coupling turns two pieces into one continuous channel with no noticeable air loss. It is also essential for repairs: cut out the damaged section and rejoin the good pieces.
Secure fixing at 160 mm
At 160 mm the air pressure on connections is higher than on 125 mm systems. Always use a 60–170 mm clamp on both sides. Push the duct at least 5 cm over the coupling before tightening.

Can I use multiple couplings in a single duct run?
You can, but limit it to two couplings per run. Each joint is a potential leak point and adds a small amount of resistance. If you need more than two joins in one line, it is better to buy a longer duct instead.
