The TriPack TriPart Hard Water — formerly the GHE Flora Series starter kit — is the ideal choice for growers in Belgium where tap water typically contains more than 70 mg/L calcium. This legendary 3-part nutrient system, designed by NASA chemist Cal Hermann, has been the global standard in professional plant nutrition for over 30 years. With three 500 ml bottles and a sachet of pH-Down powder, you have everything for a complete growing cycle on any substrate. This pack is part of the Terra Aquatica range.
What is included?
- TriPart Grow 500 ml (NPK 3-1-6) — formerly FloraGro: stimulates structural and vegetative growth, builds strong roots and provides the majority of nitrogen, potassium and secondary minerals.
- TriPart Bloom 500 ml (NPK 0-5-4) — formerly FloraBloom: delivers phosphorus and potassium for root formation during growth and maximum flowering and fruiting.
- TriPart Micro Hard Water 500 ml (NPK 5-0-1) — formerly FloraMicro HW: the foundation of the system with micro and sub-micronutrients, organic buffers and complementary macronutrients. This version contains reduced calcium levels to prevent excessive build-up with hard water.
- pH-Down powder (25 g): dry pH correction agent for immediate adjustment of your nutrient solution.
Why Hard Water for Belgium?
Most Belgian tap water contains more than 70 mg/L calcium, particularly in Brussels, Flanders and Wallonia. The Hard Water version of TriPart Micro compensates by adding less calcium, preventing lockout and deficiency problems that universal nutrients cannot solve. The result: a perfectly balanced nutrient solution regardless of your water source.
Dosage by growth phase
- Seedling: 0.25 ml/L Micro + 0.25 ml/L Grow + 0.25 ml/L Bloom.
- Vegetative growth: 1 ml/L Micro + 1.5 ml/L Grow + 0.5 ml/L Bloom.
- Pre-flowering: 1.5 ml/L Micro + 1 ml/L Grow + 1.5 ml/L Bloom.
- Full flowering: 1.5 ml/L Micro + 0.5 ml/L Grow + 2.5 ml/L Bloom.
- Final 10 days: FinalPart available separately for maximum ripening.

Is Belgian tap water hard or soft?
Most Belgian tap water is moderately hard to hard, typically containing more than 70 mg/L calcium. In Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent and most Flemish and Walloon cities, the Hard Water version is the correct choice. If in doubt, measure your EC: above 0.4 mS/cm you likely have hard water.
Can I combine Grow and Bloom from a Soft Water pack with Micro Hard Water?
Yes, Grow and Bloom are identical in both packs. Only the TriPart Micro bottle differs between Hard Water and Soft Water. You can therefore use Grow and Bloom from another pack with the correct Micro version for your water.
Do I need additional CalMag with the TriPart system?
No, the TriPart system contains all primary, secondary and trace elements including calcium and magnesium. The Hard Water version is specifically formulated to work with the calcium content of your tap water. No additional CalMag, PK or trace elements are required.
