Grow Pack Lamp Eco 125 Watt
Where HPS kits trade watts for heat and energy cost, the Grow Pack Lamp Eco 125 Watt takes the opposite approach: CFL technology at just 125W delivers a complete growing environment with minimal thermal output. The Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot tent at 60x60x160 cm houses two dedicated Superplant 125W CFL lamps for vegetative and flowering phases, a Plasmalicht reflector, Can-Lite 150 carbon filter with Ø125 mm extractor and 3 metres of aluminium ducting. Oscillating Monkey Fan, timer and thermo-hygrometer included. The lowest-energy complete grow kit.
Grow Pack Lamp Eco 125 Watt - CFL-based low-energy complete grow kit
Compared to a standard 250W HPS setup, a CFL system at 125W draws half the power and generates a fraction of the heat. The Grow Pack Lamp Eco 125 Watt leverages this efficiency advantage by packaging two phase-specific CFL lamps with a full ventilation and filtration system inside the Secret Jardin Hydro Shoot 60 tent at 60x60x160 cm.
CFL dual-lamp system
The kit includes two Superplant Eco 125W CFL lamps with distinct spectral profiles. The vegetative lamp outputs a cool-white/blue spectrum promoting compact growth, while the flowering lamp produces a warm-white/red spectrum driving bloom development. The Plasmalicht reflector is designed for CFL bulb geometry, distributing light effectively across the 0.36 m² canopy.
- At 125W, the system draws approximately 3 kWh per day on an 18/6 light schedule during vegetative phase and 1.5 kWh on a 12/12 flowering schedule.
- Thermal output is low enough that the Ø125 mm extractor handles both air exchange and temperature management comfortably in the 0.58 m³ tent volume.
- The Can-Lite 150 carbon filter with Ø125 mm flange connects to the extractor via 3 metres of aluminium ducting and a hose clamp, providing odour control from day one.
- An oscillating Monkey Fan delivers canopy-level airflow, strengthening stems through mechanical stimulation.
Practical considerations for CFL growing
CFL lamps produce less photosynthetically active radiation per watt than HPS bulbs and have lower light penetration depth. This makes canopy management critical: keep plants within 10-15 cm of the lamp and use low-stress training to maximise light exposure across all bud sites. The Brennenstuhl timer automates photoperiod control while the thermo-hygrometer tracks environmental conditions. CFL technology excels for herb cultivation, seedling propagation and low-intensity flowering projects where energy efficiency outweighs maximum light output.
Scaling within the Eco lamp range
Growers wanting more CFL output should evaluate the Grow Pack Lamp Eco 250W for double the wattage. The Grow Pack Base Lamp Eco 125W offers a stripped-down version without carbon filter or fan at a lower price point.
Ships in one discreet box with fast delivery across Belgium. The quietest and most energy-efficient complete grow kit for Belgian growers who prioritise low running costs and minimal heat generation.
Can the CFL lamps in this kit be replaced with HPS bulbs?
CFL and HPS lamps use different socket types and electrical systems. The Plasmalicht reflector and integrated ballast in this kit are designed specifically for CFL bulbs. Switching to HPS would require a different ballast, reflector and potentially a more powerful extractor to manage the increased heat output.
